Texas Roof Insurance Claims: Your Roofer’s Role

Your roofer can inspect damage and explain construction needs. Your insurer makes coverage decisions under your policy. Keeping those roles clear helps you choose a contractor without confusing roofing services with insurance representation.

What Stand Up Roofing can provide

We can document observed conditions, prepare a repair or replacement estimate, and discuss our estimate and technical construction information with the insurer or its adjuster. Our role is the construction work and the facts supporting that scope.

What we do not do

We do not act as your public adjuster, interpret coverage on your behalf, or negotiate your insurance settlement. Direct policy questions and claim instructions to your insurer. If you need independent representation concerning a disputed claim, seek an appropriately licensed professional.

Keep documents organized

Save your policy information, claim communications, inspection photos, construction estimates, temporary-protection receipts, and completed-work invoices. Ask your insurer which documents and deadlines apply to your claim rather than relying on a general timeline found online.

Plan for the deductible

Texas prohibits contractors from waiving, rebating, or absorbing an insurance deductible. Do not sign based on a promise of a free roof or guaranteed claim payment. Review your out-of-pocket obligations with your insurer and obtain a clear construction agreement before work begins.
